Hello I’m Shanna - a Person-Centred Therapist offering online counselling for children, young people and adults of all ages.

I believe that therapy begins with kindness — towards ourselves, our experiences, and the parts of us that are still finding their way. My approach is gentle, compassionate and grounded in trust, creating a space where you can feel safe enough to explore what’s happening for you, without judgment or pressure.

At the heart of my work is the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing and change when they feel truly heard and understood. I will meet you with warmth and curiosity, and together we can make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
A Trauma-Informed Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, which means I understand how experiences of stress, loss or trauma can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. I pay close attention to creating emotional and physical safety within our sessions, always working collaboratively and at your pace.

A trauma-informed approach focusses on what’s happened to you, and how those experiences might still be affecting your wellbeing today. We might gently explore the body’s responses to stress, or notice patterns that once helped you cope but may no longer serve you. My aim is to help you reconnect with your sense of safety, self-compassion and strength.

Working Together
Our sessions take place online, allowing you to connect from a familiar and comfortable space. Whether you are an adult navigating life’s challenges, or a parent seeking support for your child, therapy can offer a place to pause, reflect and find new ways forward.

I bring patience, empathy and a calm, grounding presence to my work. I’ll never rush or direct you. Instead, I’ll walk alongside you as we explore what feels important. Over time, you may begin to notice a deeper understanding of yourself, greater emotional balance, and a renewed sense of connection to others and to life.

You are welcome here, exactly as you are.
